Asian Dinner

I haven't been on here in forever! Sorry about that. Life is hectic! I've had a recipe request from tow of my cousins for an Asian dish I make. The bulgogi is a Korean barbaque. It's super easy and fast to make up. 3/4 c sugar, 1 1/2 c soy sauce 9I use light soy sauce with low sodium), 1/2 c olive oil, 3 ish heaping T minced garlic, 1" fresh ginger grated fine, 1T black pepper, 2-3lbs pork roast slice thinly and in 1-2" pieces, Mix all of the above in a large pot or bowl. You will marinade overnight or four hours if you forget to make it the day before! You can fry or bake the bulgogi. I bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees for half an hour or so depending on how full the cookie sheet is. While the meat is on hold prepare and fry the veggies! 1 bag coleslaw mix. grated carrot, green of other onions, any color peppers, zuchinni, mushrooms, bok choy, yellow squash, hot peppers, Really any veggie you want would be good. Think stir fry! Special sauce; 1/4 c hoison, 1/4 c soy sauce, 1/8 c oyster sauce, 1/3 c brown sugar, 1/2 t powdered ginger, 3ish T minced garlic, a good shot of sirracha, 1/2 broth, 1T cornstarch, Mix all ingrediens and cook on medium heat stirring constantly. I have a tendancey to do too much at once and the starch globs! I use sweet potato noodles from the Asian market, but you coud sub angel hair pasta or rice noodles if you can't find any. Cook every thing and mix veggies with noodles and top with bulgogi! You can also make a topping of mayo and sirracha to give it more of a lift. You add it as a condemant or garnish on the bulgogi. Buon Appetito!
